Apple [AAPL] has approved the Bing 2.0 app for iPhone.
New features of the app include quicker ways to find restaurants based on price range, cuisine, atmosphere and location. Also, movies can be found by name, location or theater. As well as creating new ways to search for things to do in your local area, Bing 2.0 also has Facebook integration as well as access to the Streetside service.
Bing Streetside is a service that lets you strafe down a street and look at shops as described in the press release as follows…
Familiarize yourself with a location before you go, using Bing Streetside. Streetside, a new mapping feature, gives you a multi-street level panorama of a location so you can take a virtual walk through the streets with a view of a location and its landmarks. Slide the street level imagery sideways, and the view of the sidewalk is seamlessly constructed, including an overlay of business listings, street names and store fronts.
Overall, a few nice additions to the Bing app for iPhone.
