As well as finding out that the new multitasking gestures in iOS 4.3 will not be made available in the public release, we also find out that camera icons have been included in the new iOS 4.3 beta 2 update.
Three new icons have been added to beta 2 which are FaceTime, Camera and PhotoBooth. The screenshot seen above is called homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png and is a screenshot of the home screen used when selecting a new wallpaper on the device.
Although it’s always good to see a bit more evidence of cameras coming to iPad 2, I think we can safely assume that this was the case anyway with Apple pushing FaceTime in a big way last year. Not having a front facing camera on iPad 2 would be just silly.
As for the FaceTime App, it will allow users to connect to other iPad 2 users, iPhone 4 and iPod touch users as well as those who run the FaceTime app on the Mac.
We expect to see more details over the coming weeks.
