Canon has announced a service that allows you to purchase a Canon EOS 5D Mark II or EOS 7D with a lockable dial. What this does is allows you to push a button down and lock the dial in place to prevent you knocking it in the middle of a photo shoot.
The service is an optional extra that has a price tag of $100.
Other cameras from other manufacturers do have this option already such as the Pentax K-7 and the Nikon DS3, so it’s good to see Canon following on, even if you do have to pay for the privilege.
