Samsung Pixon 12 Details Released
Samsung have announced their latest mobile phone named the Samsung Pixon 12. The Pixon 12’s main feature is it’s beast of a camera that can capture images at 12 megapixels. As well as having a large resolution camera built in, the phone also has a 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen and 150MB of internal memory which can be bumped up to 16GB via a MicroSD card.
Connectivity wise it has HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and an internet GPS chip is also included. The 12 megapixel camera can capture vidoe’s at 30fps with a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels. [Read more…]
iTunes 8.2 Released in Preparation for iPhone 3
Apple have launched iTunes 8.2 which now supports iPhone OS 3.0 and more then likely has been released in time for the rumoured announcement of the iPhone 3 that should be made official next week. Other then support for the new iPhone OS there isn’t that much else that’s new in the latest iTunes release.
The download is 85MB in size Rumoured Blu-Ray support is still missing in the 8.2 update. [Read more…]
iPhone 3 Rumour Round-up
Over the last few months there have been a bunch of rumours around the internet about a possible (and probable) iPhone 3 that will be introduced at WWDC next week.
Rumours have mentioned an upgraded camera, front camera for video calls, relocated higher speaker, ability to send recorded videos, video uploading direct to Youtube, OLED screen, faster wi-fi and 3G speeds, HD Video support, improved battery life with % indicator, digital compass, Nike+ support, matt rubber backing, Adobe Flash support, 32GB of storage and improved RAM. The image above shows a few more and the colour coding represents the probability with green being a very likely down to orange being less likely.
Sony Aino PS3 Syncing Phone Revealed
Sony Ericsson have released details on a new phone named the Sony Aino. The Aino is capable of remotely accessing media content on the PS3 games console. Unfortunately the phone is not the rumoured/fabled PSPhone although you can access your PS3 remotely over 3G or Wi-fi access. Sharp to Launch the AQUOS SHOT 933SH 10 MPix Camera Phone
Sharp have announced a new phone to be launched named the AQUOS SHOT 933SH. The main feature is that it sports a 10 mega pixel camera that has an ISO 12800 sensitivity. The high quality camera and features should allow it to capture some fairly decent images although the main concern with it would be if the lens is up to scratch.
The 933SH has a 3.3 inch screen, 16GB of storage built in, bluetooth and GPS which means it also is fairly feature packed. The phone will come in various colours which include black, white, gold, pink and blue. The phone is also a clam shell style phone. [Read more…]

The application is called Incoming! and what it does is allows you to make every single call that you make in to an incoming Skype call using your dataplan. Camera Phones to Assist the Blind
A company named iVisit who are more known for teleconferencing apps on mobile phones as well as desktops are in the process of creating a new application that assists the blind. The application uses the camera of a mobile phone to detect objects with image recognition and read out aloud what it is looking at. Handy uses for such an application could be to hold the phone over your hand while holding a bank note and have it read out to the the value of the note. [Read more…]
iPhone 3 Specs Leaked
It appears that some specs have leaked about the latest iPhone that is rumoured to be announced next month. The rumour comes from a Chinese Apple website and includes a picture of the technical specs. Specifications include a 32GB storage capacity, 600 MHz processor and 256MB of RAM.
If the rumours are true then we should be in for a snappier iPhone. To be honest it’s no real surprise that they would be bumping up the specs. The main questions left unanswered are what it will look like and if a hardware keyboard will be included. I don’t personally think they will bother with a keyboard, but I imagine that a slightly refined design in a similar shape and size to the current model will be in store. [Read more…]
iPhone App allows Barcode Scanning
You may have seen ShopSavvy for Android based phones. That is an app which allows you to scan/photo the barcode of an item. When the item is found in a database it then pulls product prices to let you know where you can find it the cheapest. iPhones now have a similar program available which allows you to scan barcodes of products and search a database to find the best prices. The iPhone App is called Red Laser and is classed as “the ultimate iPhone barcode Scanner”. It gets it’s name from the red lasers you see at supermarket checkouts. [Read more…]
