Samsung Ultra Edition 10.9 – Thin Slider

Samsung 10_9
In a world where thin screens, laptops, tv’s and phones are the rage it makes you wonder how thin they are going to get before they either roll up in your pocket, or break in to a hundred peices in your pocket. The Samsung Ultra Edition 10.9 is the latest slider phone which is very slim. It’s currently 10.9mm thin and knocks the D900 off the world thinnest slider top spot. What we do like about this is the 3.2 megapixel camera, MP3 and video playback, bluetooth, video output and quite a generous 80Mb or memory. The memory can be increased via a microSD card slot.

Oops – I forgot to turn the oven on

Intelligent Oven
If you have ever forgotten to turn the oven on, or off and realise when you are no where near home then this oven is for you! The TMIO Intelligent Oven is a smart oven which can be controlled by the internet, PDA or mobile phone and allows you to send a message to it and tell it to switch on, off and do what ever you want. Of course you will need to prepare the food before hand and put it in there ready for cooking… but it is a nice addition to your kitchen should you need to wait back for a meeting and want the food cooking later in the day rather then when you thought you would be home.

If only it could do your shopping and make the food for you 🙂

LG SH110 Slider

LG SH110
LG’s latest multimedia slider is another cool looking phone and one not to be passed. It features a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WCDMA, HSDPA and MP3 capabilities. By having HSDPA capabilities this allows you to surf the internet at a nice 1.8mbps which is more then enough currently for a mobile phone and will open up more possibilities for smooth streaming of audio and video. With having 2 cameras built in you can use the front facing camera for video calls.

Sansa Express

Sansa Express
Sansa have created a nice looking MP3 player which is worthy of taking on the iPod. The Sansa Express features a USB connector, quad line OLED display, FM tuner, voice recording which uses the built in microphone, 1Gb of internal memory with the option of adding a microSD card to increase it as large as they currently offer. With a nice look, impressive specs and very impressive price tag of just 59.99 dollars, this MP3 player could do well in the busy market.

Nokia N93i

Nokia N93i
The N93i is one of the latest phones from Nokia which has a 2.4 inch QVGA screen, sleek metal casing, a 3.2 megapixel camera which is a Carl Zeiss lens. Along with this is 50Mb of built in memory as well as miniSD. A cool feature of this phone is the built in Wi-fi which is starting to appear in a few of Nokia’s latest phones. The wi-fi supports 802.11 b/g which allows for cheaper access to the internet when you are in a wireless hotspot. UPnp technology is also built in.

The video below shows the phone in action and looking at it shows that this phone could become a great seller. Beware that the video doesnt have any commentry, but still shows a comparison as well as some of the features.

MyBlu – Linking Smartphone to iPod

MyBlu
If you have a smartphone and an iPod then the MyBlu could be for you. The MyBlu links your iPod to your smartphone and streams the audio to your phone which can be played through the handsfree kit. When a call comes in the MyBlu will pause playback so you can take the call. Also built in is an FM tuner which could be handy to use. There isnt much else that it does from the sounds of it, although Mavizen mentioned that they will be bringing out plenty of firmware updates. However, we do not know if these updates will bring more compatibility to new phones or actually add more features.

Samsung SCH-W559

Samsung SCH-W559
When using a touchscreen type device you may have noticed that you get no feedback from the smooth screen except for the occasional click if configured for sound. Samsung have introduced the SCH-W559 mobile phone which has an interesting technology from Immersions VibeTonz. This touchscreen technology gives feedback through vibrations and gives the sense of you actually pressing buttons instead of tapping a screen. This is an interesting addition to a phone and not something seen before.

The touchscreen is QVGA and gives feedback regardless of how you touch the screen, IE a stylus, finger or what ever. The vibration functions are fully customisable from on the phone.

Sony Ericssons SO903iTV Bravia

SO903iTV Bravia
Sony Ericsson are now making the Bravia mobile a reality. The phone named SO903iTV Bravia, is a clamshell type which comes in red, works in landscape mode, has a very large 3 inch widescreen display and a built in TV tuner. Sony have a habbit of getting users to use their memory stick format or Memory stick DUO, but with this mobile phone they are creating it to use microSD which is a welcomed change. The built in camera is 2 megapixels which is slightly lower then the 3.2 megapixels which we are seeing in other phones recently. Unfortunatly this phone will probably not hit Europe or the USA as it seems that it will be launched in Japan only. However, do not let this worry you as I am sure Sony will release similar models later in 2007 which will be launched out this way.

Another interesting feature is the screen which we believe will be the open up and swivel kind to allow for easier viewing of the TV and movie functions that are built in. No doubt more info will be released in the next month or so, and we will report as soon as we get the details.

Nokia N76

Nokia N76
Since the arrival of the N series of Nokia mobile phones they never cease to amaze me with features. The fairly new line up of mobiles have been packed with features. The N70 is a great 3G video phone, the N73 stepped up a little further by adding a Carl Zeiss 3.2 mega pixel camera with a shutter. The N73 also recently got X-Series which is a bunch of very useful apps that can be used in your day to day business needs. Programs such as Skype can be used, mobile mail and much more. The N Series of Nokia mobile phones are seriously worth searching for if you havent seen much about them yet.
