Apple iPhone

iPhone
Apple has yet again revealed something amazing. The iPhone was put on display at CES and you will be amazed at the look of this device. This is one phone that I must go out and buy!

For the technical specs, the iPhone is 11.6mm thin made in aluminium with a 3.5 inch display which is a multi touch screen. Multi touch is a system which allows more then 1 finger to touch the screen which has some very cool features. Also you can choose between a 4Gb or 8Gb model in which both have a 2 megapixel camera.

For the full pics and specs, check out SlashGear who managed to grab plenty of pics of this great looking phone.

Samsung SGH-F300

Samsung SGH-F300
This great looking phone caught my attention today over on Ubergizmo. It is a nice looking music phone that supports many music formats as well as a number of video formats.

The screen is quite small at only 176×220 resolution, but for the small size of the device and it’s looks it still seems like an excelent device.

Memory wise it can handle up to 2Gb in the way of a MicroSD card which is a nice amount. You should be able to compress movies down to a small size due to the resolution being very low.

Purse – With Speakers

Purse
When walking around the city you often hear people with their mobile phones hung around their neck playing some techno trancy type song on the loud speaker and you just wish they would shut it up or listen on headphones. The Atom Amp purse from Lifepop is now set to challenge this trend girl style. The purse sports 2 small speakers which can pump out 1400 milliwats of sound via the Atom amp. It is powered by a 9 volt battery and has a 3.5mm jack to connect your iPod or other music playing device to.

Wallet Sized MP3 Player

Wallet Sized MP3
As technology advances, things shrink in size. The Wallet sized MP3 player is no exception to this. It is named the walletex and fits in your wallet. It is a little larger then a credit card in thickness and contains up to 2Gb storage space which is solid state. The connector is a USB and this doubles as a headphone jack with a small adapter.

There is no information yet on costs and when it is available, but we expect it to do quite well.

Concept – iPod Watch

iPod Concept Watch
iPods always have a cool sleek look to them and this is what must have inspired the designer of the iPod concept watch. Looking over it’s sleek looks you could see that this would look great to wear. The iPod watch would sport some nifty wireless ear phones and would guarantee that your not to loose it out of your pocket while running for the bus. Great idea and I do hope this one hits the market soon.

Sony Ericsson MBW-100

MBW 100
Its not often you come across a watch with bluetooth and that is also capable of caller ID, showing text messages and control your phones music player. The Sony Ericsson MBW-100 does just that. It’s a bluetooth watch which communicates with your phone so that you can leave it in your pocket, or on your desk and as long as you are in range then you can see whats happening. I can only see the main benefit really being that caller ID would be handy if you use a bluetooth headset. I have to admit, that it’s a great looking watch though and I could get one because of it’s looks.

Skype Competition

Skype Phone
If you would like to win one of these Skype USB phones then read on. Before I pass on details of Skype’s little competition I will pass along a quick review of the above phone. I purchased one of these as a gift for a family member at christmas and it does exactly what it should. You basically plug it in, install the drivers and then you have full control over skype from the USB phone. If you push the red phone then skype minimises, if you push the skype button then it loads back up. You then have the option of scrolling through the contacts list on screen, or entering a number to dial. It is very basic and has no screen it’s self. If you are looking for a basic phone to make outbound calls then the US Robotics phone is an ideal choice at a good price.

Competition details after the jump.

Universal Charging in China

USB Charging
China are to be praised for this decision. They made a rule that in China, all mobile phones are to use a standardized USB charger. This is a GREAT move forwards for China and I hope that all mobile phone companies follow suit and do this. This basically means that any mobile can be used with 1 charger and not a charger for every phone. It will be very handy for those who either forget to charge their phone, or want to charge their device via their laptop or another USB device.

Samsung SPH-B5800

Samsung SPH-B5800
Samsung has come up with a nice looking mobile phone. It has GPS built in and offers a number of other features such as an MP3 player, DMB functionality, a dictionary with 330000 words, audio book reader, document viewer and of course a digital camera. The digital camera is a little on the low resolution side at 2 mega pixels but I doubt that would turn anyone off who was interested in this great looking phone.
