This is another funky gadget I have come across today. It’s a mini projector designed to work with your mobile phone. The device just plugs in and then it’s ready to go and project a video (not sure how big) on to a surface.

LG created some great looking things I have noticed over the past year. I always thought of them as a cheesy brand. How little did I know!
Anyway, the new LG U400 3G slider has been launched and it looks fab. It has a glossy Black finish to it, has UMTS compatibility, and has a nice scroll wheel for MP3’s. Also built in is a 2 meg pixel camera and a Micro SD slot.

The Dell Wireless 5700 card has been released. It integrates Verizon EVDO and is on special offer from Dell at $179 which allows you to use Verizon free for 30 days.
What is EVDO? It means “Evolution-Data Optimized” and is a wireless technology which allows high speed connections to the internet using the Verizon Wireless network. It allows you to connect with out a wireless hotspot from anywhere. An unlimited subscription costs just $80 a month which is not a bad amount. If you currently subscribe to Verizon then it is even less at $59.99 per month.

The P300 is the latest in the line up of mobile phones from Samsung. My first impression was that this looks like a calculator. It is a phone though 😉 and I am sure it does have a calculator on it too.
The P300 is the size of a credit card and not much thicker either. It’s dims are 8.6 x 5.4 x 0.9cm. It’s screen is a 1.8″ LCD which is very good on the eyes.
Important stats include Bluetooth, tri-band (900/1,800/1,900 MHz) GSM/GPRS network connectivity and a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and 4x digital zoom. If that wasn’t enough the phone manages to pack in an MP3 player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+ and e-AAC formats, a video recorder with playback and video messaging capabilities, and 80MB of memory.

This is a bit late coming 🙂 But still worth a post. The Nokia N80 (out now) has the added bonus of wifi built in (which the N70 does not). This is a great move for Nokia because no one likes the sucky charges that WAP, GPRS, 3G etc… impose on us… so a wifi connection is just great. What I like about the N80 is the browser shown below. It can shrink down and then you can move a box around which will zoom in to where you want to see on the web site. Helps immensly for sidewards scrolling which should be made illegal 😉

I have not heard of Pantech before and came across today the Pantech PG3600V which looks to be promising from looking at the pics and specs. It has an iPod like click wheel and a slide out number pad so that calls can be made. Not much information is available yet but there are some nice images below of this new device.
Plantronics are a big player in the headset market and have now launched the Voyager 510-USB which is designed to work well with VOIP. You can connect it to your PC, phone etc… and then use the headset for calls while roaming anywhere in your office.

The Flashphone Mplat F4K is a device which can save chat histories and save softphones for Skype etc… Anyway, enough of the technical jargon from me and go ahead to Mplat’s site to read the full thing.

The Nokia N93 is a little too big to be used as a phone in the oppinion of some. It does have plenty of nice features though such as a 3.2 megapixel camera, 50Mb memory, wi-fi, U plug and play, and a nice 2.4″ screen. It is powerful! No doubt about that.

Philips are launching the S900 phone although it probably will not be leaving the Asian market place unfortunatly. It features a touch screen, bluetooth, MiniSD, Mini USB and also a 2 Megapixel digital camera. Unfortunatly it’s only a QQVGA screen.
