Apple in the UK has begun shipping the iPhone 4S to customers and currently is giving an estimated delivery date of tomorrow, October 14.

Speaktoit for Android Sees Downloads Increase 400% on Siri Announcement
Speaktoit is an app for Android which works in a similar way to what Siri does on the iPhone 4S. It essentially lets you use natural language to communicate with your Android smartphone. Since the unveiling of Siri integration on the iPhone 4S, Speaktoit has seen the number of downloads increase 400% to about 3000 per day at the moment.
Speaktoit is similar to Siri in that it lets you use natural language to talk and command your Android smartphone. What also makes it similar is that it also understands context from what we have been told.
Motorola Droid X2 Update Rolls Out
The Motorola Droid X2 has an update ready and available for download. The device will receive Google Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. To get the OTA update you simply need to navigate in the menus to Settings > About Phone > System Updates at which point, you should be able to grab the new update and install it.
O2 Trial Service Allows Smartphones to Call and Text over WiFi
O2 has announced plans for a new trial service that will allow smartphone users to make phone calls and send text messages over a WiFi network. When communicating over VoIP with either text or SMS the phone number of the smartphone is still used. The test is being performed to see how VoIP can be delivered effectively to customers. It is also likely to be used to free up the data network a little to keep performance high for users.
iCloud Now Open for All
Apple [AAPL] has now opened the iCloud.com service to all Apple users. To access it you simply navigate to icloud.com and enter your Apple ID along with your password. It requires that you are using iOS 5 on your iPad or iPhone so for those not in the developer program you’ll just need to wait a few more hours for Apple to push out the final build around the globe.
iPhone 4S Siri Might Not Make You Look Like a Geek
When the iPhone 4S was announced last week one of the highlights was Siri which acts as a personal assistant that you control with your voice. Although it sounds great I couldn’t help but think it could/would also make you look like a bit of a geek if using it when anyone else is around.
Tesco iPhone 4S Price Goes Online
Tesco Mobile has released pricing for the iPhone 4S in the UK. Two contract lengths are available which allows you to select either 12 or 24 months. On the 12 month contracts you can opt to pay £25/month or £35/month and for that you get either 250 or 750 minutes along with 5000 text messages and 1GB of data. The pricing for the iPhone 4S is £235 for the 16GB model on the £35/month contract and goes up to £495 for the most expensive 64GB model (at £25/month). Full details in the image below:
