Sony Mobile has posted a video online showing the new floating touch screen technology on the SM Sola smartphone. The new technology allows you to hover over the screen to move a virtual mouse pointer around and when links (as an example) highlight, you can then tap the screen to click on it.
Windows Phone Tango Launching in China on March 21
Windows Phone Tango will be launching in China this month. A launch event is being held to show Windows Phone 7.5 and was announced with an invitation that says “the carefully designed, refined, and all-new Windows Phone 7.5 will be landing in China”.

Samsung Galaxy S II Gets the Android 4.0 Update
Samsung Galaxy S II users are now beginning to get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The update has begun rolling out in a few countries in Europe which includes Poland, Hungary as well as Sweden. Samsung is running the update cycle in stages starting with the three countries just mentioned and after that, it will spread further across Europe.

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Mini 2 soon. The device has now been made available for pre-order in the UK. The only version currently available for pre-order is the SIM free option which has a price tag of £179.95.
More Angry Birds Space Details Confirmed
Rovio has confirmed more details about Angry Birds Space that is due to launch on March 22. A couple of weeks back we heard that the new game was coming soon, but the details we got were a little scarce in that two videos showed no gameplay but did show that the game was set in space.

After a few months of iOS 5.1 being in beta 3, Apple has now publicly released iOS 5.1. The latest version of iOS is available for the iPad, iPod touch and iPhone and brings several new features although Siri users might be left a little disappointed.
Three Change Older Data Plans to Stop Surprise Out of Bundle Data Charges
The Three network in the UK is making changes to a few of its older data plans. The new plans will fall in to the Ultimate Internet Plans or Essential Internet Plans categories and have been designed to put a stop to out of bundle data charges.
Android Market Switches to Google Play
Google has changed the name of the Android Market and has combined it with a service called Google Play. Google Play is now the new name of the Android Market, Google Music and the Google eBook Store. What the new service does is allow you to access all of your content across all of your Google devices. An example would be that you download a book on your Android Smartphone. All other devices (including computers) connected up to the Google Play account will immediately get that book downloaded and when opening up the book on another device, you’ll be able to continue where you left off.
Nokia 808 PureView Not Coming to the US
In the small print of the Nokia 808 PureView specs there’s a bit of information that says the device will not be launching in the US. This might frustrate a few people as the device has an amazing looking 41 megapixel camera on it and caught the attention of many people this past week.
Galaxy S II Ice Cream Sandwich Update Coming March 15
Some good news for Samsung Galaxy S II owners was announced today. We now hear that Samsung will be pushing out the Ice Cream Sandwich update on March 15th. This will take it from its current 2.3 Gingerbread version to the latest Android 4.0 version.
