HTC Gratia Android Smartphone Unveiled

The HTC Gratia was revealed earlier today. The Gratia is an Android based smartphone. It has a 3.2 inch screen that is in a HVGA format. It has a 600MHz Qualcomm processor and can connect to HSPA and WCDMA networks running at 900 and 2100.

It is believed that the HTC Gratia is a European version of the HTC Aria as it looks similar in design and specs. Other features of the new Android smartphone include Android 2.2 as well as a 5 megapixel camera. The Android 2.2 is also modified with HTC Sense. [Read more…]

Limera1n iPhone 4 Jailbreak Now Available for Mac

When Geohot surprised the world last weekend with the iPhone 4 jailbreak called Limera1n the only problem was that you could only jailbreak your iPhone with a Windows based computer.

White iPhone 4 Delayed Because of White Not Being White

Pocket-Lint spotted a white iPhone 4 the other day at a press event. When speaking with the owner of the phone it seems to be that Apple [AAPL] has delayed the launch of the white iPhone 4 due to the white not being correct. For example, the white home button isn’t the same color as the white used for the glass.

Android Angry Birds Download Now Available

Angry Birds for Android has finally landed. We heard earlier this week that it might have been delayed a week or two and then heard again yesterday that it was on track for this week. We now see that Rovio managed to get it out on time.

The game can be downloaded from here and although it says it’s still a demo, you’ll actually find that it is the full version but with some ads. A few last bugs are being ironed out in the game and once they are complete, the game will be made available in the Android Market if you wish to download the ad free version. [Read more…]

Opera Mobile for Android Coming Soon with Pinch to Zoom

Opera is launching the Opera Mobile Browser for Android smartphones within the next month. The new browser will launch with pinch to zoom on Android with more features being added over time, such as hardware acceleration.

Pinch to zoom, if you are not familiar with it, allows users to zoom in to a webpage at incremental levels while pinching or pulling their fingers apart on the screen. We posted a little while ago, a few comment regarding Android 2.2 arriving for the HTC Desire. Its always rather mind-boggling to think why delays such as Android updates can take months to launch for the latest handsets. HTC 7 Surround Price is $550 Unsubsidized

Best Buy in the US has listed the price of the HTC 7 Surround at $549.99 unsubsidized. The HTC 7 Surround is a new Windows Phone 7 device that will begin shipping, with other new smartphones, on November 8th in the US.

If you opt to get the phone with a two year contract, the price tag drops down to $199.99. The device can be used on the AT&T network in the US. [Read more…]

iPhone SMS Ringtones From iOS 4.2 Beta 3 Demoed

When Apple [AAPL] rolled out the latest iOS 4.2 beta 3 download yesterday, a few new features were added such as the new SMS ringtones section. This new part doesn’t allow you to put your own ringtones on the iPhone, but a bunch of new message tones are now available.

Amazon iPhone App Gets Updated with Barcode Scanner

Yesterday, Amazon update its Amazon iPhone app. The new update brings a new feature to those running an iPhone 4 or 3GS running iOS 4… the ability to scan barcodes.

What the barcode scanner does is allows you to scan the barcode on any product. If Amazon stocks it, the price(s) of the product will be displayed in the mobile app and at that point, you can choose to purchase if you so wish. [Read more…]

Samsung Omnia 7 Available at Orange, T-Mobile and Three in the UK

On Monday, the Samsung Omnia 7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone was announced. We now hear that three networks in the UK will be offering the device. The three networks are Orange, T-Mobile and Three who will each start selling the new WP7 device on October 21.

Orange has already provided pricing details with the handset being free on a 24 month contract of £40/month. Three and T-Mobile will also offer the smartphone for free, but for £35/month on a 24 month contract. If you don’t want to pay as much per month, you can opt to pay more up front for the Omnia 7 and pay a little less each month.
