Microsoft [MSFT] will be pushing a new update out to the Xbox in November that will give the audio quality on Xbox Live a boost.

Apple iMac Touch Patent Found

Apple [AAPL] could be launching a new iMac called the iMac touch. This information comes from a patent that was found that shows an iMac being used with both a touchscreen and a keyboard as represented in the drawings above and below.

The patents also suggest that Apple could be using a dual mode OS system where OS X is used when the screen is upright and iOS when the touch interface is enabled.

Imagine having an iMac on your desktop one minute and a gigantic iPad the next. Imagine playing iGames on this dream machine – Wow! Imagine reading a double-page book on this – Unbelievable! Apple takes the mystery out of how OS X could finally co-exist with iOS on a Mac and you’ve got to see this one to believe it.

Magic Trackpad gets ColorWare Treatment

ColorWare is a company we have mentioned before. They are responsible for changing the look of gadgets in to a list of many colour possibilities. Devices such as the iPhone 4, Xbox and many others are all possible to be recoloured.

The next on the list is the Magic Trackpad from Apple [AAPL]. ColorWare is giving customers the usual option of completely changing the look of it. The above blue is just one example although there are many other colours to choose from.

Price wise, it isn’t cheap as can be expected. If you order a Magic Trackpad from ColorWare and have it coloured by them, it’ll cost you $145. If you already own a Trackpad and want to send it in for colouring, it’s $75. [Read more…]

Xbox 360 Slim 250GB Hard Drive Now Available

Microsoft [MSFT] has confirmed that the Xbox 360 slim 250GB hard drive is now available. The drive can be used as a replacement for the rather small 4GB Xbox 360 S that launched a few weeks ago.

The new 250GB hard drive actually went on sale a little early at GameStop.com although we hear that it is now available through various retail channels as of today. [Read more…]

Google Video and Voice Chat Added to Gmail

Google [GOOG] has made a version of Video and Voice Chat available for those running Linux. Up until till now, the service has only been available for Windows and Mac OS X users.

The service works along side Gmail and lets users have video calls or voice calls with users on their Gmail contact list.

Google also mentioned that RPM support is coming soon although no specific dates have been mentioned. [Read more…]

Next Gen PSP to get Touch-Sensitive Controls

Rumours are circulating about the next generation Sony PSP. The rumours say that the next version will be the same size as the PSP-3000 model and that it will have touch-sensitive controls on the back of the unit.

Rather than using traditional controls, it is expected that the touch panel located on the back will allow you to control the games.

The screen on the PSP 2 is said to be both rich and detailed although it isn’t clear if the screen will be larger with the controls moving to the back, or if the addition of both controls (ie, physical and touch sensitive) will be all included. [Read more…]

Google Calendar Outlook 2010 Sync Now Available

Google [GOOG] has updated it’s Calendar Sync tool that now makes it possible to synchronise an Outlook 2010 calendar with Google Calendar.

The software previously only worked with Outlook versions up to 2007. The new version isn’t fully compatible just yet in that it cannot support 64 bit versions of Outlook 2010. However, if you run the 32-bit version of Outlook 2010 then you now have that much requested ability to synchronise the two together. [Read more…]

Sony PlayStation 3 160GB & 320GB Models Coming Soon

Sony is launch a couple of new PlayStation 3 models with higher capacities. The reason for doing this is to accommodate the additional downloads that will be made available via the PlayStation network over the coming months.

The first version is the Sony PlayStation 160GB model which will be priced at $299. This particular model will be shipping worldwide within the next couple of days.

The second model is a larger 320GB PS3 that will be launched in September and will arrive at the same time as the PlayStation Move. This particular model will be bundlef with the PS3 Sports Champions bundle which comes provided with the PlayStation Move controller, PlayStationo Eye and Sports Champions on a Blu-ray disc. Microsoft Kinect Release Date UK – 10 November

Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that the release date for the Kinect will be November 10 here in the UK.

With Xbox arriving on Windows Phone 7 and Kinect going up against not only the dominant Wii, but also Sony’s forthcoming Move in the family gaming market, it’s going to be a critical time for Microsoft’s gaming division.
