8Gb SDHD Card

8Gb SDHD
Ultra Products have released an 8Gb SDHD card which costs just 150 dollars. It has a transfer speed of 2Mb/second but the shear size and small price is pretty cool. The card is only compatible with a number of readers, so do check first that you have an SDHD compliant device before forking out 150 dollars for one of these.

Samsung SPH-B5800

Samsung SPH-B5800
Samsung has come up with a nice looking mobile phone. It has GPS built in and offers a number of other features such as an MP3 player, DMB functionality, a dictionary with 330000 words, audio book reader, document viewer and of course a digital camera. The digital camera is a little on the low resolution side at 2 mega pixels but I doubt that would turn anyone off who was interested in this great looking phone.

XBox and XBox 360 Chopped Up

XBox
The XBox and XBox apparantly are not quite the right shape for some people… so someone decided it was time to get a very high powered jet and cut it like a hot knife in butter. The jet was used to chop up the 2 xboxes and it came up with some interesting results.

Check out all the images over at MAKE which show the process and the final images of what happened.

XBox 360 Mouse and Keyboard Adapter

XBox 360
For those who enjoy playing games with a keyboard and mouse such as first person shooter games then the 360 keyboard and mouse adapter is for you. It allows you to connect a regular keyboard and mouse to it and play games using those controls.

It looks to be a decent option as I must admit that some games are easier to control this way and sometimes us bad players need all the help we can get 😉

Plug In and Enjoy Speakers

Plug in and Enjoy Speakers
Plug and Enjoy speakers is a new concept idea which tackles the problem of wanting to entertain guests around rooms in the house. The idea is that it is difficult to move speaker systems around from room to room and this means that entertainment is stuck in one part of the house. The new speaker concept is a way of working around this. Plug In and Enjoy speakers are around the size of a power convertor (not very big) and you plug in the speakers to any socket in any room of the house and the sound is transmitted to them. They are designed to receive FM signalls from your stereo system or iTrip and the speaker picks up the signal and plays the audio from where ever it is connected to.

Who owns the iPhone anyway

iPhone
So who was it who coined the term iPhone and said that Apple would be launching it soon? Well… there is a small problem. Apple does not actually own the iPhone trademark. It belongs to Cisco who registered it back in the 90s. They tradmarked little i big P hone (iPhone) and it seems that Cisco will be bringing out it’s own range of VoIP products.

Wii Injuries – Wiinjuries

Wiinjuries
Along with the launch of the Nintendo Wii and it’s very unique approach to the gaming world. It uses a unique controller called the Wiimote which has a number of sensors in there and changes the way the average games controller is used. If you are playing golf then you swing the remote like you would a golf club and hit the ball. Likewise, if you are playing tennis then you can do fast serves, volleys and all sorts of moves. Just play tennis like you would normally and the wiimote sends the motion detection to the Wii and puts that in to the game.

With the wiimote requiring a more hands on approach, in turn a number of incidents have been reported of people getting a little bit too agressive and accidently letting go of the wiimote. Engadget decided it was time to compile a list of Wiinjuries in to a nice list. Please bear in mind that if you use the strap and follow the rules then you shouldnt really hurt yourself 🙂
