Samsung SPH-P9000

SPH-P9000
Samsung have launched an interesting phone/pda/umpc. The SPH-P9000 aims to be all 3 in one with a unique unfolding keyboard and screen as can be seen above. It has a 1 Ghz CPU, 256 Mb RAM and a nice sized 5″ TFT screen.

Along with the nice specs it has CDMA EVDO, WiMAX and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Multi functional devices are needed more and more. With needs such as a cell phone, PDA, GPS, MP3 player and moving on to using devices to pay for hotel’s etc… there is going to be a HUGE demand to throw everything in to 1. The Samsung shows one way that this can be done and they have done it with some style too. More pics are over at akihabaranews

Sony PSP Clone Phone

Sony PSP Phone Clone
The PSP has been cloned. The new V191 mobile handset is a Sony PSP look a like. Well, it almost is a PSP look a like. To the untrained eye it might get confused. The phone will play games and the phone can be held like a PSP. However, the games play a Nintendo emulator. The phone has a micro SD slot, 1.3 megapixel camera and can play music and video.

The price tag is rather healthy at 650 USD in Hong Kong. I think I will give this one a miss.

Zune vs iPod

Zune vs iPod
Above we can see a size comparison of the Zune vs the iPod. The Zune has some nice specs with it’s built in wifi and nice screen. Size wise, it’s still larger then an iPod. Overall the iPod is the smaller of the 2. Several models are compared in size and the width of the Zune is the only dim that compares.

However, all is not lost. The Zune is the 1st model. The iPod has taken a few generations of it’s iPod to slim it down. No doubt the Zune will shrink down a lot more when the next model comes out.

Snap Circuits

Snap Circuits
Snap Circuits make playing with electronics far easier then soldering and playing with wires. The Snap Circuits is designed for the younger end of the market and allow children, or adults, to easily put “snap” electronic circuits together. It’s as easy as Lego and allows children to create anything like a Radio. The kits cost 29.95 USD for the smallest pack and go up to the pro model at 80.96 USD.

Dont Count On It

Dont Count on It
Dont Count on It is a woodern puzzle which can be given as a birthday present with money in. It’s kind of like a card, but next to impossible to get in to. Once you give this gift to someone they will beg you for the solution on how to get the money or tickets out. Anything paper type can be squeezed in there and it’s been classed in the region of sticking a coin to the pavement in the prankometer.

iVue Clear iPod Case

iVue Clear iPod Case
iVie have created a case that is transparent. It’s not really just a case, but a whole replacement for the front panel. The clear front side of the case allows you to see all the iPod’s inner workins… well, just a bunch of chips sitting there to be honest, but it might wow your friends and is at a fairly reasonable price to install for around 20 to 25 dollars.
