Microsoft Backlit Keyboard

Microsoft have launched a nice looking backlit wireless keyboard to the market. It is dubbed the “ultimate keyboard” so it must either all be hot air… or something spectacular. Well… how spectacular can a keyboard get after the laser projected keyboard reviewed a while back 🙂

Ay any rate, it seems to be a Bluetooth based system that includes a fancy backlight system that can measure ambient light and adjust accordingly. It even knows when you have stepped away and switches off the light to save power. Cant be bad! I might have to get one of these 🙂

LG Super 3G Widescreen Slider Phone (LG-SGH100)

LG have launched the Super 3G widescreen slider phone named the LG-SGH100. They are also releasing the LG-KH1000 which both look like nice new additions to the market. My first impressions are that this will sell because of the wide screen offering. The slider both slides down or across so that the phone can be used in widescreen mode. The phone comes with 2Gb Flash and 1Gb SDRAM or 512Mb of flash with 256Mb SDRAM. Thats a lot of storage packed in there! It has a 1.3 Mega pixel camers, a 2.2″ screen. The phone weighs just 125g.

Digital Clock T-Shirt

Kind of cool in a weird way is the new digital clock t-shirt. It’s basically a standard t-shirt with a big digital clock built in the front. How many of you think that a wearer of one of these is in for the typical cheesy jokes that can be associated with one wearing this 🙂

It is powered by 4 AAA batteries hidden away and lasts about 1.5 – 2 days at a push. It can also be switched off should you want to save power for later.

Calvary APP06 Pocket Multimedia Player

The Calvary APP06 is the latest pocket multimedia player to hit the market. It seems like it will hit the market and unfortunatly bounce off though :S. It can play MPEG4, JPEG, MP3 and WMA. It has a 2.5″ TFT screen, FM tuner and some speakers that flip out. On the good side, it costs $119.

Explay projector for Mobiles

This is another funky gadget I have come across today. It’s a mini projector designed to work with your mobile phone. The device just plugs in and then it’s ready to go and project a video (not sure how big) on to a surface.

DIR-635 RangeBooster N 650 Router

The DIR-636 RangeBooster from D-Link is a draft 802.11n compliant device. It supposidly runs 5x faster then the 802.11g wireless connections but yet is still compatible backwards.

It can in some cases provide a faster then 100Mbps signal. With the device you can create a secure wireless network in your home which makes file sharing across your computers a lot safer. It is also compatible with VOIP protocols so that calls can run smoothly.

SlimEx Onyx USB HDD

This is another device I would look to buy. It is a SlimEx Onyx 40GB USB HDD. It weighs less then 3 oz and measures just 3.9″ x 2.4″ x 0.4″ which is small enough to comfortbly carry around in your pocket. It is a USB 2.0 device which gives it a nice fast transfer rate. It does not require drivers as it’s a plug and play device and has a nice magnesium alloy casing making it tough against a few knocks here and there (although I do not recommend that :))
