Grundig CDS 5000 DEC

Grundig again? After a number of years of silence I have heard this name twice this week. The last time was the freeview recorder and now they have the Micro Hi-Fi which has nearly every single input under the sun. It's quite nice looking too! It has a USB port, SD slot, built in sub and can play all manner of formats.

Muji bookend speakers

Muji have introduced some nice bookend speakers on to the market. The speakers are nothing fancy in themselves but are the same size as a CD case meaning that your stack of CD's can be kept together nicely. Who uses CD's any more though?

Life Support for Plants

Ever thought about having life support for plants? I cant say that I ever have, although now you mention it… why not 🙂 The Herbi Smart Hydroponic Garden is a plant pot which knows exactly when your plants need feeding and what they need and takes care of all of that for you.

Kind of handy. Now… if they can only make one for my fish tank (life support for fish) 🙂

Nano Battery

A company in France has created the Nano battery which usesnano technology to make things smaller. The idea here is that you have 2 options…. keep the battery the same size and have more juice to power your device, or shrink the batter down to a smaller size to get the same amount of juice as a larger battery. The difference in power increase is several times.

Nokia E60 Review

The Nokia E60 was recently reviewed on Fosfor.se and found to be an excellent phone. It has a nice fold out keyboard which opens up to make the screen sit in the middle of each side of thekeyboard and then folds back to look like a regular phone with the numerical keypad. The screen runs a nice crystal clear resolution and overall the phone has a nice feel to it. Check out the full review after the pictures below via the link.

Grundig Freeview Recorder – GUDVDR0IV

Grundig is a name I dont seem to remember since I was a child. However, it seems either I havent been in the same circles, or they took a long holiday. Either way, they have now released the FreeView recorder which looks promising. It works on the UK's freeview network which has 30 free digital channels as well as 20 radio stations and can record the TV (a bit like Sky+). It comes with a 160Gb drive and can record programs up to a week in advance. Engadget are speculating that the device might outprice Sony and Panasonic.

1080p D-ILA projector by JVC

JVC have launched this $12.5 grand HD projector. Unfortunatly it only has a lumens rating of 600 which isnt the best, but still watchable in a darkened room. On the good side it has a 2,500:1 contrast ratio and a high resolution of 2048 x 1536.
