Heart Beat Mouse

Heart Beat Mouse

Monitor your health while online

Apparently when you work on the computer, it isnt as relaxing as you think. The heart beat mouse intends to tackle the problem of not looking after your health. It has a sensor on the right button and I believe one inside which measures your heart beat while you are working away. If your heart rate is not ideal then it will tell you to take a break. It appears that the sensor on the right button is used for measuring light conditions to make sure it isnt too light or dark in the room while you are working. The heart beat sensor can measure from 30 – 200 BPM and the light sensor can measure 50 – 700 lumens. The software on the PC allows you to configure it so you can email your Dr your statistics so that he can demand you come see him if you are not too healthy.

312 Key Music Keyboard – Sounds Crazy

Does it actually have 312 keys?

The 312 key keyboard above is a musical instrument. It has 312 keys, but from looking at the keyboard being used it seems like you press one and 2, 3 or 4 above it also get pressed down. I am not sure if that qualifies it as a 312 key keyboard. I could be wrong though as maybe it does create a different sound depending on which key down the line is pressed.

If any one knows I would be grateful to find out. Post a comment. There is one more video after the jump of this keyboard being used.

Laser TV by Mitsubishi

mitsubishi laser TV

Mitsubishi Laser TV

The Laser TV caught my attention for a couple of reasons. The first is that it looks absolutely amazing, and the second reason is that it has Laser in the name. CES is 6 months away and the Mitsubishi Laser TV will be on display at this event which will be held in Las Vegas.

After getting over how good this TV looks you have to wonder what an actual Laser TV is. A laser TV promises deep and bright picture on a thin and lightweight screen. Also, a Laser TV is cheaper to make then plasma screens. Hopefull this lesser expense will be passed to the consumer!

Mini Solar Powered Car

mini solar car
The Mini Solar Car is a tiny car which has a motor in it allowing it to work when under sunlight or bright artificial light. It measures just 33 x 22 x 14 mm and basically goes when the sun comes out. Its main use is to demonstrate what solar power can do to students. It is a shame that it isnt RC as that could be quite cool using a small solar powered RC car that you didnt have to charge every 5 minutes.

Upgrade your PSP Firmware for faster Processor

PSP 3_50
When the PSP was launched the specs stated that it had a 333MHz clock, but many people also noticed it was actually running at 266MHz. The reason for this according to some was that the battery life couldnt cope with the increased clock speed and would die too quick. The latest firmware which will be due out soon is set to remove this restriction so that games can be coded to work at 333MHz. If you are a regular uses of home brew and particularly the GTA games you will have noticed that you could speed up those to run at 333MHz and although it isnt a huge jump, the increased frame rate was noticeable making it run a lot smoother.

MacBook
Rumours are floating around at the moment regarding the Apple MacBook. The rumour says that in October a new version will be released that is about half the thickness of the current model. The MacBook will also be made from new plastics and materials. If so then it would be worth waiting a few months should you be saving up for a MacBook. Just take in to consideration that this is a rumour and no guarantee that a half thickness MacBook will be available in the next few months. I do hope so though as they are nice machines!
