Haier P7 Pen Phone – Weird

Haier P7
Haier have created the P7 pen phone. I must admit, I have no clue who Haier are but thats beside the point. The Haier P7 is a fully functional mobile phone which has a ton of features crammed in to it. The first thing you will notice is that its a weird shape and is aptly named the Pen phone. I guess the reason for this is so you can clip it on your shirt pocket? maybe? The P7 included a digital camera, 90 minute voice recorder, an LCD display and has a standby time of about 150 hours. Talk time for this phone is around 4 hours which is acceptable. Apart from that its just a unique and fairly weird phone.

Huge Pen

Bigpen
The big pen is for those who want to make a big impression, or want to be noticed in public. I cant really think of many good uses of this 17 inch long huge pen except for putting your company name across it and getting attention from those passing by. It is available in blue, purple and red and costs just $5.99.

Animated LED Fan

LED Art Fan
This fan is a step to the side from your regular fan that you buy to cool you down when its warm. This one features 42 LEDs which are mounted on the blades. When the fan is switched on, images can be made from the LEDs (POV). The fan has 5Mb of memory in which you can store 128 images for your little animations. It certainly does add a new look to your relatively boring desk fan. What makes this good is the ability to hook it up to your PC via a serial port and you can transmit via Infra Red to the fan and put your images on to its blades. To see how it looks when working check out the You tube video after the jump.

Ring Mouse from Global Link

Ring Mouse from Global Link
This mouse which was seen over at Computex in Taipei is built by Global Link and it straps to your finger, hence the name Ring Mouse. It can work on most surfaces and even works with your thumb brushing past it. My first thoughts are that it is rather large and why couldnt it be made smaller, however, if it was smaller then people might think you are strange stroking the desk with your hand. At least with it being a decent size they can still understand that you are actually holding something.

It appears that the Ring Mouse is optical, but no details are provided about that yet. It seems like it is divided in to four sections with the top right being the sensor and the others possibly being controls that you can tap against a surface or touch with your thumb.

RiteAlarm Clock Review

RiteAlarm Clock
From Rayna Creations comes this compact triple weekly, battery powered, alarm clock. What it means by triple weekly is that you have the option of pre setting the alarm clock for weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays individually. With your average alarm clock you need to manually adjust the alarm setting each time your routine changes, this beauty avoids such annoyance. For me on a personal level I am known to forget to change the settings and either wake the household up, or arrive late for appointments. On the outset it is quite basic looking, but what more do you need? If you are just looking for something that will do its job then this really does suit your needs every day of the week. The rest of the review is after the jump.

Amigo Wireless Router – Or Xbox 360

Amigo Wireless Router
The R622AG is built by Amigo and is a wireless router. It does look like an Xbox 360 though and the more I look at it the more it convinces me that they just used the same case and made space for new holes on the back. The wireless router is an 802.11 a/b/g and has 4 Ethernet ports and 2 USB ports which can be used to connect a variety of peripherals such as a hard drive or web cam.

Strange items from Japan

You may have noticed that the folks over in Japan release some seriously strange devices. I came across a bunch today which I thought were dead funny.

The first on the list is the Face Slimmer.

Face Slimmer
The face slimmer mask is worn on your face and squashes your face by pressure. Also it acts as a sauna which makes you sweat more and loose weight from your cheeks.

The next in line is the Nap Helmet.

Nap Helmet
The Nap Helmet is designed for those who travel on the underground in cities. You sit down, put the helmet on and stick the plunger to the window behind. When you fall asleep it stops your head from bobbing around.

Touch and Play Rubiks Cube

Rubiks Cube
If you think you are the master of Rubiks cube and can solve it quicker then anyone else, then you need to move up to the next level and get a Touch and Play Rubiks Cube. The idea of this rubiks cube is that you play it blindfolded and use your touch senses to solve the puzzle. Six different textures are found on this (1 on each face) which are Metal, wood, textile, rubber, plastic and stone. I wish it was real, but right now it seems to be just concept for now. But, I struggle with the original and have only solved it a couple of times so my chances of solving a puzzle like this are zero.

Gizmo for Nokia S60 Phones – VoIP

Gizmo
Gizmo is a beta application available for download on the Nokia website. It allows you to use Instant Messaging and make internet calls. To get the software to work you just need to download it from the link at the end of this article, create an account with Gizmo (or use your current account if you have one) and then connect with your WLAN connection if your Series 60 phone will support it. If not then you can also use Gizmo over 2G or 3G networks, but I recommend you check pricing through your provider before you do that. Currently the software is fully compatible for the N80 and N95 Nokia S60 phones and works on other phones such as the N73 Music Edition, E61 and E65.
