If you are feeling lazy while using the bathroom then this custom toilet paper folder could be for you. It was made by students at UC Berkeley for a reason I do not fully know yet and am not too bothered if I dont find out either. The parts to build the project were lego, scissors and scrap metal. As can be seen in the video, you push a button and the paper is then folder and cut making it ready to use. Although it seemed to work well on the first run, the second run was more funny to watch.
FlyTech RC DragonFly
RC flying toys are great. The FlyTech RC DragonFly ads a unique twist to the range of flying planes and helicopters by actually having wings. To make this actually work the DragonFly is constructed with light weight material. This allows the flapping wings to give enough uplift for this to fly. As seen in the video after the jump, the dragonfly can be kept in control, be used indoors and be a lot of fun to fly.

XBox 360 Mods
If you want a 5.8 inch widescreen LCD putting in the side of your X Box 360 then look no further. This mod which doesnt seem to have a point was created by a mod happy firm and they are offering this mod to anyone who can find a use for it. The screen acts like your TV and displays on the side of your XBox what you would see on the TV. The only real use I can think of is wanting to run media on the device such as music. You can leave your XBox running and not have to worry about switching the TV on. Apart from that I have yet to find a real practical use for this feature. Check out the video after the jump.

XBpx 360 Motion Sensors
We know that the Wii has tilt sensors in a number of axis in it’s controller which has opened up a cool generation of games. The XBox 360 does not have this feature built in, but some clever bloke at XBox Scene decided to make a custom tilt sensor which takes over one of the analogue joysticks. The custom built solution works by outputting varying voltages according to how far, fast you tilt the joypad. It has a 3 axis accelerometer. With the use of some micro electronics the analogue voltages are converted to digital to determine how far the joypad is tilted and then interpreted and sent to the XBox. Sounds cool and is a great idea if you want to hack up your controller.

Wii Laptop
For those familier with Ben Heckendorn you will know of the cool and crazy hacking he does to consoles that are both of current and past status. There has been an XBox 360 laptop all the way down to an Atari 2600 handheld console. The list of these consoles is huge. To add to this list there is now a Wii Laptop which has just been created. It took the last month or so and features a 7 inch widescreen LCD, Stereo Sound, Gamecube controller port, a short range built in sensor bar and it’s all crammed in to a nice sized case. To add to this, Ben is also going to be making step by step instructions on making your home Wii laptop which will have detailed diagrams.

Sony PSP Keyboard – Homebrew Style
Since the launch of the Sony PSP (Playstation Portable) the homebrew world have been doing all sorts to hack in to this amazing device and they are doing a good job too… so much so that Sony keeps having to release the latest and greatest firmware to close up security holes only to find out that shortly after, there is another security hole to exploit. Madruscoe has managed to create a homebrew app which allows you to create .txt files on your memory stick by using the Palm(One) Universal Wireless Keyboard. The keyboard costs 50 – 60 dollars on Amazon and currently is the only compatible keyboard that this homebrew application.
The application allows each note (.txt file) to be 4Kb and the amount of files you can store is just limited by how many of them you can cram on to your memory stick. The video below goes in to more details about this and is well worth watching.

Nintendo DS iPod Hack
With the Wii getting all the Wiimote mods recently it seems only fair that Nintendo DS needs some of them too. We cant go leaving it out in the cold now can we. The Nintendo DS is a popular dual screen portable gaming device which was launched last year. The bottom screen is a touch screen which is what this mod utilises. The touch screen iPod is a program which can be run which emulates the iPod touch wheel and allows you to scroll through your collection of MP3s. Its a cool idea and well worth checking out if you are an avid DS user. Watching the video we can see that it functions just like an iPod would. Check it out after the jump.

Wiimote Controlled Car
We just love the Wii hacks here for the Wiimote control. The latest I came across today was the Wiimote controlled car. It comes from a german modder who made a script for the wiimote enabling movement of the wiimote to control the car. It can control the car in the basic moves which are backwards, forwards, left and right.
The system works with the help of a laptop and a bluetooth dongle. Pair up the wiimote with the laptop and run the script on the laptop. Then the script passes signals on to the remote control via a serial cable which inturn controlls the car.

USB Bowling Ball
Loosing a USB flash drive can be seriously annoying and dangerous if you have sensative information on there. Well… this new bowling ball USB drive will not have a chance of being lost because it’s a full sized bowling ball and weighs 16lbs. Unfortunatly it now takes it out of the ultra portable and also out of the carry it around on a regular basis type thing. Still all good though.
The bowling ball is not available to buy as it was custom made by someone who didnt want to loose another USB flash drive.
