The Samsung Galaxy Tab on the T-Mobile network in the US is now available. Theres nothing particularly new to announce here as we already mentioned the release date of today a bit ago.

Price wise, the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy Tab has two price points. The first is the no contract model that is priced at $599.99. The second option is for those wanting a two year contract where the price is dropped down to $399.99. [Read more…]

Dual Screen Kno Tablet Price Revealed as $899

The Kno Tablet price has been revealed as $899 for the dual screen version. This particular model has two 14.1 inch touchscreens that open up like a book and allow users to work across a dual screen setup.

Another model with a single 14 inch screen is also launching although the price tag will be a little lower at $599. [Read more…]

Scale Apps on Samsung Galaxy Tab to Full Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a large 7 inch screen. This causes some problems for some of the apps in that they don’t scale out to use the full screen by default.

Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi Model Delayed till 2011

Reports today are showing a leaked document from Best Buy that indicates the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi only version is being delayed till early 2011. The document says it is being delayed (Post Holiday) as seen in the image below.

The Verizon Embedded version (WiFi+3G model) requires that the device is activated at time of purchase. Android Life believe this could mean a data plan is required which can then be canceled, but perhaps this just means you have to register it on the network and then its your own choice if you actually sign up to a plan. Toshiba Folio 100 Launched

Toshiba has launched the Toshiba Folio 100 Android tablet. The distribution of the Folio 100 started today across Europe.

The Folio 100 runs a Tegra 2 chip inside. The screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. For storage it has 16GB built in and has an SD card reader slot allowing more to be added if needed. [Read more…]

Samsung Galaxy Tab on Verizon Lacks Skype 3G Calling

When the Samsung Galaxy Tab launches on Verizon [VZ] in the next few weeks, the ability to make Skype calls over 3G will not be available.

Skype will still be available for the Verizon Galaxy Tab, but voice calls will be restricted to WiFi only. What makes this interesting is that a special version of Skype is installed on other Android handsets on Verizon and each of those do have the ability to make calls over 3G, so it isn’t clear why this is being blocked for the Tab. Archos 70 Internet Tablet With Android 2.2 Now Shipping

Archos is starting to ship a new range of tablets starting today. The model that launched today is the Archos 70. It comes with 8GB of storage and it runs Android 2.2.

Technical specs show that this particular tablet has a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and has a screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The screen is multitouch. [Read more…]

LG Pad with 8.9 Inch Screen Landing Q1 2011

The image above (and larger below) shows a new tablet device called the LG Pad. The LG Pad has an 8.9 inch screen and from what we understand, it will run the next generation of Android operating systems (perhaps the next-next gen as in Honeycomb).

A senior official at LG clarified that Honeycomb would be installed on the tablet device and that the OS has been described as a tablet PC version. [Read more…]

LG H1000B Windows 7 Tablet Spotted

The FCC website often has details of new products tucked inside. This time around a new Windows 7 tablet was spotted. The new tablet is the LG H1000B that has wireless 802.11b/g/n included as well as Bluetooth.

Apple iPad Has 95% Market Share

Reports are suggesting that the Apple iPad is responsible for 95% of the tablet market at the moment. This comes as no real surprise as so far as its not really had much competition up till now.

However, this dramatic lead is expected to shift over the next few months as a bunch of Android tablets are getting launched. The main product to look out for at the moment is the Samsung Galaxy Tab that launched in the UK yesterday and is following soon in the US within the next week or two. [Read more…]

Creative ZIIO 7 and 10 Inch Tablets Unveiled

Creative has unveiled the Creative ZIIO. The ZIIO comes in two sizes with one having a 7 inch screen and the other having a 10 inch screen.

The 7 inch model is white and uses a resistive touchscreen. The resolution is 480 x 800 pixels. The 10 inch version has a higher resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

Inside the 7 inch model a ZiiLabs ZMS-08 CPI can be found. This particular set of tablets run Android 2.1. [Read more…]
