Intel Atom 2GHz Announced
Two new Intel Atom processors have been announced. The new models are named the Z550 and Z515. No details of pricing and availability are known just yet.
iNAVI K3 GPS
Thinkware, a Korean based company are launching an entry level GPS navigation device over in South Korea. The low end device features some very nice looking 3D navigation.
The iNAVI K3 has a 7 inch WVGA LCD display that shows some very nice visuals to those navigating around. The GPS is powered by a SiRF V6 chipset and inside you’ll also find a hefty 900MHz processor. It has 256MB RAM built in as well as 512MB ROM. The memory can be increased by making use of an SDHC memory card. TO say this is one of the “entry level” devices it certainly does look a lot more visually impressive to what we see over here in the UK. [Read more…]

Sony Hybrid Fuel Cell
Fuel-cells look to be a fantastic way of powering a laptop and other portable equipment. By filling them up with something like methanol you can get hours of usage out and then an instant recharge by topping them back up. Sony are working on this technology and have created a prototype hybrid fuel-cell.
The prototype measures 50 x 30mm which makes it fairly small. Inside there is a fuel cell, li-polymer as a secondary batter as well as the control circuit. [Read more…]
