Dell have launched two new 24 inch desktop displays. The first higher end is the UltraSharp U2410 that uses IPS (in-plane switching) in it’s panel that covers 100% of the sRGB colour space along with 96% Adobe RGB. The U2410 has an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio along with a 1,000:1 static ratio. 12 bit internal colour rendering is also achieved with this LCD display.
The U2410 is available now costing $599 and has a number of inputs that include DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI as well as RCA and VGA for those still using analogue connectors.
The other 24″ screen launched is the budget ST2410 that is less colour rich using a twisted nematic panel. The contrast ratio is also lower at 50,000:1. This screen has fewer inputs which include a DVI port, HDMI and VGA. This monitor retails at $259. Both can be found over on the Dell store which is here for the U2410 and here for the ST2410.
