Sprint have announced that they are offering an EVDO enabled netbook in the form of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. The netbook costs $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and will set you back $59.99 on a 24 month contract that will provide 5GB of data per month.
The Mini 10 netbook has a 10.1 inch screen that has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Powering the netbook is an Intel Atom Z520 processor running at 1.33GHz along with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB harddrive.
Connectivity wise it has wireless at b/g speeds along with the integrated EVDO Rev.A for hooking up to mobile networks while on the move. Separately the netbook costs $349 if ordered direct from Dell, so you do save a bit on the netbook although you are locked in to a 24 month contract in getting the cheaper price.
SlashGear point out that AT&T are offering the same deal with integrated GSM data at $60/month and you get the netbook for $149.99 which is a saving. To make the choice between one of the other it’s best you check coverage information on each network to see which network provides the best service for you.
