HTC and Dropbox have created a partnership which will see new HTC smartphone users getting a free Dropbox account with 5GB of storage. Normal Dropbox accounts come with 2GB of storage which makes this quite an interesting deal.
Dropbox is a file service that lets you upload your files easily to the cloud so that you can access them from any location. The company has a Windows and Mac interface which simply puts a folder on your desktop and any files saved are uploaded to a secure location (Amazon S3). Those with iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone etc… can then log in to their account and access files while on the go.
The new offer is for those buying newly announced smartphones such as the HTC Rhyme as pictured above. The account is a standard 2GB account with a 3GB bonus applied if you connect up to dropbox with your new HTC smartphone.
We have also heard that all devices that run Sense 3.5 will get the offer.
