Those of you privileged enough to own a smartphone currently running the latest Android OS 2.2 – FroYo will be delighted to know that YouTube now have a standalone app ready to download.
According to T3, the new YouTube application will feature the ability to record and upload videos from within the app itself as well as being able to receive more timely updates.
Unfortunately, users who currently have Android 2.1 or lower will have no such luck as. Reasons why different phone have different versions of the Android OS are varied and difficult to swallow, though they usually follow the course of action various networks take in implementing their own software as well as introducing the OS to their hardware.
