Yesterday, Google updated the GMail app for Android smartphones. If you are trying to get to that update now then you will be out of luck, for now, as a few bugs have surfaced which has caused Google to take it down from the Android Market.
If you managed to get the update before it was taken down and are seeing problems, Google recommends uninstalling the updates to the GMail app.
The bugs are only apparent for those running the 2.2 Gmail update before updating to the new version. For those who were already on the 2.3.x version, it appears that there have been no problems for you guys.
Although Google hasn’t provided a release date for the updated version to be relaunched, we expect they are working on it now and should have the new update available in the next few days or so.
