Just before Facebook launched its revamped games section on the site, Google also announced the addition of games on Google+.
In an announcement on the Google Blog, the following can be read:
Today we’re adding games to Google+. With the Google+ project, we want to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web. But sharing is about more than just conversations. The experiences we have together are just as important to our relationships. We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life.
Google also describes the new games feature as being there when needed but hid away when not needed. To access the games you just need to click the games button at the top of your stream and when done, you’ll see what games are available including a list of those you have played recently. Also, updates from friends will also be included in the stream.
For those who don’t care for games, Google will just keep them behind the small games button and leave your stream as it is.
For those who develop games you can work with Google on creating games for Google+ by going to the Google post linked above.
The following games are currently available on Google+
