When 5 – 12 megapixels on a camera are not enough you might want to consider buying the new Hasselblad 50 megapixel camera. The H3DII-50 boasts the worlds largest sensor. The sensor it’s self measures 36x48mm and is built by Kodak.
Due to the amount of data this camera captures, it can record at 1 frame per second and files sizes per picture would be in the 300 Meg range. On the back of the camera you find a 3″ display, a CCD cooling sink as well as optional GPS accessories and media cards. The camera can shoot at ISO ranges of 50 to 400.
Price wise, you need to have a fairly healthy bank account as the cost is an estimated $35k+ for this beast as the previous versions (H3DII-39) cost over $35k.
Obviously a camera built for specialist use as I wouldn’t expect a friend to whip one of these out at a local party.
