With a little leak from AT&T’s website and just a few lines of detail regarding the HTC 7 Surround phone, courtesy of Engadget, we’ve listed a few of the important details you’ll want to know about HTC’s latest entry.
Firstly, which is more of an obvious point, is that the phone will be running Windows Phone OS 7 and will come with a 1GHz processor.
Engadget have reported that the phone will have an internal memory of 8GB where as AT&T’s site states 16GB of memory instead. Perhaps these are both just as true and that we may have two separate price listings for the device. As well as this, you’ll have a 3.8 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800p.
As far as connectivity is concerned, you’ll find the usual Bluetooth 2.1 with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm stereo audio jack and a standard micro-USB 2.0 port. Like all cell phones, a camera comes as standard, though this one matches the iPhone 4’s at 5 megapixels with an LED flash and auto focus. Recording is done in 720p HD.
What’s quite nice about the HTC Surround is the slide-out Yamaha speaker that produces Dolby ‘surround’ sound (though not quite sure how this works).
At present, the HTC 7 Surround will only be available with AT&T’s network on contract for $199.99 for the 16GB. Will give you mre details as we find them so keep checking back and we’ll keep you posted.

Great. A smart phone that has runs Windows Phone OS 7 and its processor comes up to 1GHz. Its appearance looks like the other HTC’s generations, which has no innovate by leaps and bounds.
The price is acceptable, it’s suitable.
