Those users who have a HTC Desire on the Three network in the UK, you can expect the Android 2.2 update to be made available on October 14th at 9am UK time.
The official Three UK account on Twitter made it official saying that the version will be numbered v2.25.25.771.1 and will launch 10/14 at 16:00 TW time…
HTC Desire owners, Android 2.2 Froyo update – HTC have said the update v2.25.771.1 will be live at 16:00 10/14(TW time)
The HTC Desire Android 2.2 update for those on the Three network will include all the standard features. We assume that this means tethering support etc… As well as having all the basics, the Three Android 2.2 update will also bring HTC Sense to the device with some extra customisations.
The update will be pushed out as an Over the Air (OTA) update which generally means you either wait for your phone to automatically check and alert you, or manually check in the settings menu. We also are told that no data is deleted in the update.
The main recommendation is to use WiFi to grab the update rather than your data plan due to the size of it.
Let us know how it goes when it lands tomorrow.
