We expected the T-Mobile variant of the HTC HD2 to arrive this month after numerous leaks and a press release over the last few months.
So, is it arriving this month? Probably as we have now heard that a press event is being held on March 16 over in New York to unveil the phone which has a rumoured release date of March 24.
The information just posted above is all we have right now in that we know there is an event happening. The March 24 date is a previous rumour that was posted due to some leaks found.
When launched on the T-Mobile network the phone will bring a “never before seen mobile experience” to users. This basically means that it launches with a few extra goodies such as access to Barnes and Noble eBooks, Blockbuster access and a couple of Transformers movies pre copied on to it’s micro SD memory card.
The 4.3 inch phone is going to be running Windows Mobile 6.5 and this will likely be the final version it will ever support due to various reasons (ie, it’s not getting updated to Windows Phone 7 Series) due to various hardware features that do not comply with the various chassis specs. However, you can’t complain that it’s not an amazing phone.
We’ll post an update when the phone details are announced in a week’s time on the 16th.

Why bother with Windows 6.5? T Mobile.. give us Android.. not MS phones.
