As well as announcing the HTC One V, the company has also revealed the HTC One X. This device is the first quad-core device available from the company. The One X runs a 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and has other impressive specs.
Before moving on to the specs, we will comment that this device is also an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device. Although the ICS OS is supposed to be the best yet, it has taken a while for it to be adopted and it’s good to see new devices beginning to use the operating system.
Back to the technical specs, the HTC One X has a 4.6 inch HD Super LCD 2 screen that can display 1280 x 720 pixels making it quite impressive in terms of specs.
It has two cameras on the device with the one on the back being 8 megapixels and capable of 1080p video. The front facing camera is 1.3 megapixels and can capture 720p.
For storage, it has 32GB of eMMC. It has 1GB of RAM and also the usual 25GB of DropBox storage available.
Just like the One V, this one will also go on sale towards the end of April although as the device is high end (quad-core etc…), it will be priced at such which means a price tag of £498 inc VAT for the unlocked version. Subsidised versions will also be available on various networks although I’ve not seen particular announcements just yet.
