T-Mobile has announced a new smartphone that is compatible on its HSPA+ network. The new smartphone is the HTC Radar 4G which is also the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device that supports the HSPA+ network at T-Mobile.
The announcement came yesterday shortly after the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango download and release was officially announced and made available.
The Radar 4G has a 3.8 inch WVGA sreen. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which should see Windows Phone 7.5 Mango run quite nicely. For storage it has 8GB built in. Other features include a couple of cameras with the one on the back capturing at 5 megapixels with a 28mm lens with an f/2.2 aperture in wide angle format. The front camera is used for video calls and captures VGA quality video.
Thanks to the HSPA+ network the device should see some decent speed when transferring files, assuming the user is in a good location for HSPA+ coverage.
The launch time is sometime before the holidays although we don’t have the details of a price yet.
