The image below is of a new device which is believed to be called the HTC Ville. The new device claims to be one of (or the) thinnest smartphone measuring just 8mm thin. That beats the iPhone 4S which is 9.3mm thick and the Galaxy S II which is 8.49mm at its thinnest point.
Technical specs indicate that it will be a dual core device that will run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The dual-core processor will be clocked at 1.5GHz. The screen is expected to be 4.3 inches and will be a Super AMOLED display that has a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels.
The camera on the back is expected to be 8 megapixels and capable of capturing video at 1080p.
We expect to see the device unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February and then see a launch early in the second quarter of 2012.
