Yesterday, Virgin Mobile announced that it would be offering the HTC Wildfire when it launches although as of yet, they have no pricing details available.
Today, T-Mobile in the UK also announced availability of the HTC Wildfire and have also included pricing for the new smartphone.
T-Mobile will launch the HTC Wildfire on June 14 in it’s UK stores as well as making it available online to purchase. When launched the Wildfire will cost £20/month on the network although it isn’t clear if that’s an 18 or 24 month contract and if there is anything to pay upfront for the smartphone.
The HTC Wildfire is an Android based smartphone that is classed as a slimmed down version of the HTC Desire. The HTC Wildfire features an App Sharing program that allows users of Android to share apps with friends by sending links to each other.
On the technical side of things the Wildfire has a 3.2 inch touchscreen along with a 5 megapixel camera as well as an MP3 player and radio. Applications pre-loaded on to the device include Facebook, Twitter and Flickr and these allow you to easily share and socialise with friends online.
The Wildfire will run Android 2.1 when launched although with an Android 2.2 launch imminent, it shouldn’t be too long before the device gets the latest OS running.
