After a week or so of waiting, Apple [AAPL] has now added the iPhone 4 to it’s store. The price with no contract is £499 for the 16GB model and £599 for the 32GB model.
As previously rumoured just last night, the White iPhone 4 is not available just yet. We have heard September sometime before you can get your hands on it.
The good thing about buying direct from Apple is that the phone is unlocked allowing you to choose any network you want.
When buying the iPhone 4 on the Apple site you are not presented with any options to buy a microSIM. Instead you can either use your current contract and get a microSIM from your provider, or sign up for a new microSIM contract when prices are made available on the different carrier sites.
You can go ahead and pre-order the iPhone 4 now which will be shipped on June 24 (ie, land on your door that day). Just note that carrier pricing will be available on the carrier sites we believe later on today, possibly as late as 7pm.
