Apple is about to launch the iPhone 4S in Hong Kong and South Korea. The latest generation smartphone will be released on November 11 with pre-orders beginning on November 4.
As well as launching in the countries mentioned above, 13 other locations will also receive the iPhone 4S. The list is as follows: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal and Romania although pre-orders wont be available in several of those countries (listed below).
One thing to note with the launch of the 4S is that Siri will not work on the native language unless the user speaks English, French or German. It is also likely to struggle with non US/UK or non Australian accents as these are the only options available at the moment.
Features that the 4S does have includes the dual-core A5 processor along with a new GPU, new 8 megapixel camera with enhanced optics and the ability to capture video at 30 frames per second in 1080p.
Pricing for each of the countries is not mentioned in the press release although generally Apple keeps the same prices as the past generations, so what you pay for an iPhone 4 now will likely be the price of the iPhone 4S when it launches.
Regarding pre-orders, these are not available in Albania, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro and Panama.
