JVC has announced a couple of pocket sized HD camcorders. The two new models fall in the JVC Picsio range and are called the GC-WP10 and the GC-FM2.
Each of the cameras is capable of capturing HD video up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Each is also capable of capturing video in low light situations. A three inch touch screen can be found on the back that lets you control various aspects of the camera as well as play back video that you have stored on the memory card.
The Picsio GC-WP10 is waterproof as well letting you use it in more rugged environments.
Each camera has a five megapixel sensor that captures the full HD video at 1080p as well as HD 720 and lower resolutions if you want to balance out storage capacity vs quality.
Time lapse is another option on the cameras that lets you capture events over several hours and play them back within minutes.
The launch date for each camera is September with the JVC Picsio GC-FM2 launching early September with a price tag of $179.95 and the JVC Picsio GC-WP10 arriving later in September costing a little more at $199.95.
