Kodak has announced the Kodak PLAYTOUCH video camera. The camera has a 3 inch touchscreen on the back along with optimised HD playback.
The touchscreen is capacitive and allows you to “glide” through HD videos that have been captured by swiping left of right on the screen. Other features include on-camera editing as well as a Share Button that lets you more easily share captured video content with friends and family. The camera is capable of capturing video at full HD 1080p.
The PLAYTOUCH from Kodak also includes image stabilisation, an LCD glare shield and an external microphone jack. By connecting the camcorder up to a computer via the built in USB arm, the camera can then upload video automatically to social networking sites with the push of a button.

When launched the Kodak PLAYTOUCH will cost $299.95 and will be available direct through the Kodak website as well as other sites such as Amazon. It is due to launch in the Fall.
A second camera has also been launched called the Kodak EASYSHARE M590. The M590 is the worlds thinnest 5X optical zoom digital camera. The EASYSHARE M590 also is designed to easily share with others. By pushing a button on the camera, you can easily upload video to Facebook, Flickr, Youtube as well as many other social networking and photo sites.
