Last week we spotted some documents of the Lenovo Thinkpad X201 range. At that time there were no official pictures, and just line drawings of what the X201 will look like. We now have the official details.
The X200 series is getting an overhaul as expected. They will now be known as the Lenovo Thinkpad X201, X201s and X201t. The X201 and X201s each have a 12.1 inch form factor with the option for touchpads. Processor wise you’ll get the option of a Core i7 or Core i5 processor. Both these models will weigh in at less than three pounds if using the regular 4-cell battery. Out of these two models the X201s is the lighter and thinner of the two and this model only allows for a Core i7 processor to be selected.
The Lenovo Thinkpad X201t is a tablet version that has a touch sensitive screen that works well both in and out-doors. The tablet version is a little thicker though. The screen is capacitive touch although you can use a special pen to do pen input also.
For graphics they each have Intel HD graphics that can be configured as needed. Battery life ranges up to about 12 hours in a best case scenario.
Prices for these laptops starts at $1,199 for the X201, $1,599 for the X201s and $1,549 for the X201t. They will be going on sale early in March.
