LG have launched their first video MP3 player named the Touch Me MFFM37. It has a 2.4 inch LCD touch screen which runs at 320 x 240 pixels. It will be coming out in June. Two options will be available for this MP3 video player which are a 2GB model and 4GB model. No word yet if this can be expended through SD or some other format. The player us capable of playing MP3, WMA, Ogg, JPEG for images and WMV and MPEG4 for video. The battery will power the device for 3 hours while watching video and up to 6 hours for audio playback.
For clearer video and images the LG has the Mobile XD engine which takes control of brightness, colour and contrast. For audio the device has a 10 band EQ which can be set to auto to provide different sound setups such as stadium, concert and club to name a few. Information on the screen is automatically updated when an ID3 tag is found in the music. On the connectivity side the player has USB 2.0 which allows for fast audio and video transfers. It measures 51.5 x 90 x 9.9mm which is quite thin. Prices of the device will be between 129 and 159 GBP.
