A new smartphone has been announced by LG. The LG Optimus LTE has a few new features which includes LTE connectivity to speed up downloads of data. As well as getting a connectivity boost, LG has also included a 4.5 inch IPS display which they call IPS True HD. The resolution of the screen is 1280 x 720 pixels and is claimed to be the first of its kind that will launch in South Korea.
The new Optimus LTE is an Android device that runs the latest 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The processor is dual-core and clocked at 1.5GHz. To help with battery life LG has put in an 1830 mAh battery to help with the faster CPU and faster download times.
On the back is an 8 megapixel camera that captures video in HD resolutions.
At the moment we only know it’s launching in South Korea tomorrow on the SK Telecom network. Other than that, no details have been provided about a launch anywhere else.
