Alltel Wireless have announced a new music phone named the LG Rhythm. The phone is a slider phone which has a scroll wheel on the front allowing for easier control of music. The wheel is touch sensitive also.
The technical specs of the phone are fairly decent too although the camera is slightly lacking at just 1.3 megapixels. If you can get over that then all should be to your liking with this phone as is supports MP3 with an FM transmitter, voice dialling, GPS, and a microSD card slot. Stereo bluetooth is also available in this phone. With a name of Rhythm you probably guessed that this phone is geared towards music and it does very well in this department by having 3D sound capabilities, DSP (digital signal processing) by a graphic equaliser which was tuned by LG’s buddy, Mark Levinson.
The phone will be available to those on the Alltel network and cost $119.99 (after a $50 mail in rebate) with a two year contract… that’s an ouch. I’d expect in the UK to pay no more then £20 for this on a 12 – 18 month contract if it makes it over this side of the world.
