Back in the day you may well remember such television ads ‘stating’ (used loosely) the main differences between a Mac and PC and why you should buy one over the other, this went on for literally years. Now though, it seems Microsoft will be going even further with their marketing strategy and global conquest in allowing Mac users to sync with Windows Phone 7 devices later this year.
So during those years past, the ability to sync information between these 2 behemoths would never have happened though at present, this doesn’t seem a big surprise seeing the kind of leaps technology has made and how information has been shared over the last 3-5 years.
All Microsoft have said about this venture is that…
“Later in 2010 Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers.”
We’re hoping that “select content” may mean iTunes and calender info and the like, so it would be interesting to see how this plays out and how the beta works (which will be available via an OS X application download). We’ll keep you posted.
