Magellan has update its iPhone satnav software to make it compatible with iOS 4 and above. New features include multitasking as well as live traffic updates.
By adding multitasking to the satnav software, the iPhone is now capable of running navigation in the background and directing you by voice if required. If the phone rings, the app just jumps to the background and continues to navigate you while you speak (hands free of course).
Real time traffic requires no in-app purchase and works on the standard version of the software. The traffic information comes from the NAVTEQ company and shows incident reports as well as traffic flow on some roads.
Price wise, the software costs between $30 and $45 depend on what map coverage you want. The North American is $45, available from here. The USA version is here ($35) and the Canada & Alaska version costs $30 and can be found here.
