Metro PCS is rumoured to be getting a new Motorola [MOT] smartphone that runs the Google [GOOG] Android 2.1 operating system.
The Android handset has a slide out QWERTY keyboard that has four rows of keys with the addition of a .com button to the left of the space bar. On the front of the device looks to be some sort of unique home button which could be encircled by some sort of funky control pad.
Other features include a 600MHz processor, a 3 megapixel camera and from what we understand, it will run the MOTOBLUR overlay.
The screen size has been estimated at measuring just over 3 inches, possibly up to 3.2 inches.
It isn’t clear when the new smartphone from Motorola will hit the Metro PCS network, but now that leaked shots are about, we expect to see more official details arrive soon along with what tariffs the device will be on and how much it will cost. I suspect it will be cheap as it looks like a budget smartphone.
