After several months of waiting, Motorola has finally made the Android 2.2 Froyo update available to Motorola Milestone users.
The update comes after a lot of testing and fixing from what we understand. What you get with the new Android 2.2 install is the ability to run Adobe Flash 10.1 as well as get faster hotspot capabilities.
The update process can be found over here and requires that you attach your device to your computer rather than grabbing it OTA (over the air).
The site also warns that due to the large number of people wanting it, it is only made available through MSU.
Another warning also hints that DRM media on your memory card will be lost although non-DRM media will be kept safe. So, if you plan on updating, make sure you have sufficient backups of your data.
