Motorola Xoom Tablet To Cost $799 for 3G/4G – $600 for WiFi

Motorola has finally confirmed the final price of the Motorola Xoom tablet. Two models will be launching which will include a 3G/4G model and then a WiFi only model.

The more expensive of the two is of course the WiFi+3G/4G model which has been confirmed to have a price tag of $799. The WiFi only model will cost $600 at launch.

Motorola point out that the slightly higher price for the 3G/4G model is due to it being 4G capable. However, the WiFi only price puts it at the same as the equivalent iPad model. Of course, the Xoom is more powerful than the iPad although the iPad 2 will be launching in the next 4 to 8 weeks if rumors are to be believed, so we might see a price war going on here.

The Mototola Xoom is an Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet that will be supplied on the Verizon network in the US. Subsidized pricing hasn’t been revealed just yet although we expect a few hundred dollars to be knocked off when signing in to a two or so year agreement.

We’ll get those details as soon as we can, but for now, we just have the unsubsidized pricing as listed above.

It is like a revealing day for different launch taking place for past few days at MWC.The prices look a little higher than expected. But I think Motorola Xoom catches enough attraction for that price
