The Mycestro 3D Mouse aims to provide a new way of interacting with a computer. It has been designed to attach to your finger and allows you to work with a mouse pointer on screen without moving your hands away from the keyboard.
The idea came about when the designed was sat on a plane and noticed someone struggling with a laptop and mouse on one of the seat trays. At that point he decided it was time to incorporate the mouse in to a smaller device that attaches to your finger.
The Mycestro has 3 buttons which allow for left, centre and right clicking (activated with your thumb) as well as being able to be swiped either way to allow scrolling on screen.
The device is a 3D mouse and can track movement in 3 dimensions. It uses the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol allowing a single charge and usage of about 8 hours at a time. Charging is done via a USB port on the top of the device.
Overall, an impressive little device. Take a look at the video below to see a demonstration of how it works. Feel free to check out the Kickstarter project where you can pledge $79 to get your hands on one of the first devices. The project has already reached its goal of $100,000 and still has 29 days to go.
