Microsoft has unveiled a new logo for Windows 8. The design of the logo drops to just a single colour and has been designed to represent the new Metro interface that we have seen on Windows Phone 7 for a while now.
The logo is light blue in colour and looks closer to that of Windows 1.0 than other versions we have seen. It looks simple, but could work well for the company.
As for the operating system, Microsoft [MSFT] is believed to be launching it later on this year. The new OS is a complete shift from the regular Windows we have seen over the past decade. The new Metro interface uses tiles to display information. When it was launched in Beta a few months back, the response was positive all around it seems.
