Nikon has announced several new digital cameras today. The first up is the Nikon Coolpix S8100 that has 10X zoom as well as high speed shooting abilities.
Capturing images is a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor that is capable of capturing up to 10 frames per second. The CMOS sensor uses backside illumination that brings enhanced image quality in low light and high speed capture.
The camera is also capable of capturing video at 1080p Full HD.
When grabbing single shots the camera has the ability to shoot with pre-cache that records two shots before the shutter release is fully pressed. This allows you to get the best image when something is moving fast.
As well as capturing single shots and pre-cache shots. The camera is also capable of capturing video up to 120 frames per second and play back the footage in slow motion.
The camera will be launched toward the end of this month with a price tag of $299.95.
